Auditoria.AI is pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence in finance with significant updates to its SmartResearch platform. These developments position SmartResearch as a fundamental component for automated financial operations, reinforcing the need for reliable and accountable financial technology.
These enhancements, showcased at the 2026 Workday DevCon in Las Vegas, spotlight Auditoria’s role not just as a participant in Workday's Agent Partner Network but also as a key provider with officially certified integration for SmartResearch. This includes new functionalities that extend to accounts payable solutions, such as AP Vendor Watch, along with a preview of the upcoming AP Statement Reconciliation tool.
What’s evident is a shift in corporate finance operations. Firms are moving away from basic AI tests to deploying more sophisticated agents that can optimize cash flow management, supplier interactions, oversight, compliance, and financial reporting with greater autonomy. Hence, the pressing question for finance leaders isn’t merely whether AI can take over tasks; it’s whether these autonomous systems can meet the rigorous standards of governance, transparency, and audit trails that finance departments demand.
With its Governed Autonomy framework, Auditoria addresses these concerns by allowing AI agents to operate autonomously within defined enterprise policies while adapting to changes and maintaining a verifiable audit trajectory for each action, sidestepping the need for human approval at every point.
“What finance teams require is not another series of isolated AI tools,” stated Rohit Gupta, CEO and Co-Founder of Auditoria.AI. “They need integrated intelligence that can function effectively across established financial processes.” Gupta further emphasized that the updates to SmartResearch transform it into an essential intelligence layer for CFOs, while the Governed Autonomy framework guarantees these agents can adhere to the necessary controls and auditing standards.
Auditoria also rolled out the general availability of SmartResearch, a conversational AI tailored for the Office of the CFO. This tool empowers finance teams to explore financial operations through intuitive, natural language queries, merging internal data with external financial insights to provide immediate, actionable responses and detailed simulations.
“Finance is transitioning from merely being about record-keeping to becoming a domain of intelligence,” recognizes R “Ray” Wang, Founder and Principal Analyst at Constellation Research. According to him, the emergence of dedicated AI connections for CFOs achieving coherent enterprise data integration and ongoing cash intelligence illustrates a significant advance in the sector known as next-gen finance. Such advancements are spawned by innovators equipped with the expertise and commitment to define this expanding field.
Additionally, Auditoria has deepened SmartResearch’s integration into accounts payable functions. This allows finance leaders to assess supplier performance, spending habits, and potential payment risks through a user-friendly interface that combines internal financial data with important market insights.
With the official certification through Workday’s Marketplace, SmartResearch now adheres to the regulatory standards for enterprise deployment, reinforcing its alignment with Workday’s Agent System of Record (ASOR). This certification underscores Auditoria’s focus on delivering enterprise-grade AI solutions that operate within expected governance frameworks.
“Workday’s Agent System of Record lays the groundwork for responsibly scaled AI. Auditoria’s certification signifies a mutual commitment to developing accountable AI technologies that meet the security and compliance standards essential to our clients,” stated Mohan Rajagopalan, Senior Director of AI Platform Product Management at Workday. This partnership enhances the Office of the CFO's ability to confidently implement AI solutions that can effect meaningful enhancements across the business.
Enhancements to Autonomous AP Operations
As part of these advancements, Auditoria introduced AP Vendor Watch, an agent designed to continuously track supplier risks in real-time. This intelligent tool automates the monitoring of supplier health, flagging risks when they exceed pre-set thresholds without needing manual input across ERP systems.
Finance teams can customize risk parameters specific to their vendors while ensuring consistent oversight across their supply chain ecosystem.
There's also a preview of the forthcoming AP Statement Reconciliation tool, scheduled to launch later this quarter. This feature automates the aligning of supplier statements with internal records, which helps finance teams detect issues sooner, reduce the chances of overpayments, enhance supplier relationships, and speed up reconciliation processes.
Both of these new AI capabilities are also structured within Auditoria’s Governed Autonomy framework, ensuring that every automated gesture aligns with policy constraints, is trackable, and remains auditable.
SmartResearch upgrades and AP Vendor Watch tools are now live through Auditoria, with AP Statement Reconciliation set to become widely accessible soon.
